This personal project is a mock brochure for the 2020 NGV exhibition “Japanese Modernism”.

TYPEFACE PUBLICATION

For this project I designed two double page spreads styled after famous typographers: John Baskerville and Zuzana Licko. I was limited to a 7 column spread which meant for interesting variations on text layout in Adobe InDesign.
The brief for this project started with designing pangrams of typefaces by the typographers. The concept was to incorporate them into double page spreads.
MAGAZINE AD

This project utilised Adobe Illustrator to create realistic vector images. The idea was for the initial outline to imitate a Bunnings Australia advertisement.
With the resulting vector artwork, I created an advertisement for the product - in this case a Softbank robot.
ARTIST BOOK
personal project
The brief for this project was an eight page booklet inspired by an artist and/or graphic designer. I chose to create a book about the British, New York based “professional doodler” Jon Burgerman.
I used my own photos and drew Burgerman-like creatures intro the landscape using Procreate. The creatures speak to the reader through speech bubbles on the opposite page. I chose a typeface that mimics Burgerman’s handwriting style.
